These are the first published resolution I’ve ever made.

1. Good grade to maintain the scholarship. Have to get better than before. (amen)

2. Do routine sports.

3. Wear more accessories and more colourful outfits.

4. Cook more and eat healthier food. (due to my cholesterol and bloated belly)

5. Explore KOREA!

6. More patient and less panicky.

7. Post and write more.

January started with a lot of thought about “How to pass last semester in July 2011? How to even finish the Final Research Project and Plant Design Project at the same time? How to manage my time during the super-tight-schedule? What will I do if I graduate this year? What will I wear at my graduation day? How to look skinny at such special day?”

The latter question really occured to my mind and I did nothing about it. :p

Thanks a lot to Dear Father in heaven, I successfully passed my last semester and graduated in July 2011. Wow! I received the “Bachelor of Science” kind-a-thing after my last name! It was a very happy-grateful-relieved-happy tears moment! I could not forget the day the chairman spoke that I am graduated! January until June was filled with a lot of research (in the lab), staying all night to collect data, studying IELTS, doing the plant design project with a lot of anxious, stressed, and why-only-us moment. :p Not to forget, the 12-nonstop-days-studying for my comprehensive exam. I would not ever want to try again. Never! *please* But it turned out that the efforts was worth!

I also decided that I want to continue my study to master degree. I cancelled all the opportunity to be employed by some companies and searched the suitable universities abroad (and lovable places to wandered around, hehe) for my master study. The full-time-searching began after my graduation day, when I have nothing to do. :p I started to write some motivation statement and looked for recommendation letter, and stuffs needed for applying the university. I also looked for a financial supports so that my parent won’t have to pay at all.

During the applying and result waiting, I worked for my department in ITB. It was really a handful of work so I did not waste my time at all. Thanks to my professor because he asked me to help him and her. It made me aware about places where I should go buy things such as screw, glass, police line, etc. :p Not to forget about learning a little bit of the refinery process and corrosion. Last but not least, I also learned something more about microsoft word and excel! :p especially about inserting an object and filtering data.

It was not a waste of time at all. It was such a great moment to learn something more from my current condition back then.

It is already the end of 2011. I am thankful (super thankful, I must say) that I am surrounded with a lot of nice, supportive, and amazing people. My parents, my professor, my boyfriend, and my friend. They supported my decision at first and supported me ’til the the day I made my decision right around this time.

God is good. Always good. He put me in such condition to realize how good He is to me. He made me able to do things that I ever thought of, especially about the study. I can not imagine my appearance back then. haha. He made me able to pay the registration fee with exact amount (you know it is hard to transfer money internationally via bank in exact amount because you have to add the additional fee). He mentioned every idea for me to write that super-long-essay for my motivation statement. I have never done that before, to be honest. :p He protects me from any harm during my travel to Bandung and Jakarta, back and forth. And the list is still going on and on.. I can’t even mentioned it one by one.

It nearly the end of 2011. I am super excited about 2012 to come. What will He do? What will He make me? How will He mould and process me?

So, Hello there. Let me introduce myself once again. Elizabeth Valentin, B.Sc in Chemical Engineering. Just graduated from ITB in July 2011. Usually, the first question that people ask me recently is “where do you work now?”. and this is my usual, and I should have made it recorded somewhere, answer : “I am not looking for one. I am looking for master school .” Too bad, the smile could not be recorded in recorder.

heyho! I am indeed looking for master school (with scholarship included). I do have interest to pursue master degree in biochemical engineering or the like. *Dear Lord, please hear my prayer. Please let me let me let me go to master school as soon as possible. :p *

so, current occupation : the school and scholarship finder, as well as the motivation statement and personal information writer, due to many application form has to be filled in. :p hehehe. Currently, I am still living in my second home town, helping my department in its accreditation program, and taking a class in Dutch language.

not to forget : a farmer named Tobias who are eagerly hunger for money to maintain the Genade farm (used to belong to his grandfather) and also looking for a perfect spouse for his life. He has his eyes on Ann. or Mary. He is now living in Mineral Town Village.  His life is the imaginary representation for ‘bersusah-susah dahulu, bersenang-senang kapan-kapan”. So, don’t forget to wish him many lucks, guys.

even though this is the 2nd time for me to stay overnight here, still it is something new to experience. Here, everyone is sleepy but they force themself to still open their eyes and to do something useful to kill the time.

yeah, we’re the in the middle of our last year of study as undergraduate student. for exact, it is our last semester and we really hope to graduate on July this year. *yeah, AMEN* here are the list of final project to be done ASAP.

1. IELTS test, on February 26th. (it is only for me and couple friends.)

2. Plant Design Competition, dateline is March 13th, and we’re still far from finishing it.

3. Research as our final project. it is somewhere in the middle of the dessert, i guess.

I really hope to make it on time.

God, Your grace alone could lead me through the list.

As you may read, the name of Jabez was located only in 1 Chronicles 4 : 9-10. you should read it for yourself. His pray was sound like this :

Oh, that You would bless me indeed,

and enlarge my territory,

that Your hand would be with me,

and that You would keep me from evil,

that I may not cause pain

you know what next sentence is?

So God granted him what he requested.

Don’t you just curious about what made God grant his pray? Is there something in his prayer? Jabez, itself, means pains or suffers.

for clear explanation, maybe you should read it yourself but maybe i could give you a brief one.

1. that You would bless me, indeed means that you should ask for a blessing from Him, alone. He is God of blessing. some people think that ask for blessing is showing that we are not mature enough in faith to God, but He surely want you to ask because He saved a lot to give it to us.

2. and enlarge my territory means that you should ask Him for more ministry in your life, to show others that you are really bringing him into your life. God will open up for you the way for you to ministry other, and to glorify His name, of course. territory means your ministry.

3. that Your hand would be with me means you ask for His strength to hold you up and ask Him to teach you to depend more and more to Him alone. depend is another word for power.

4. and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain means that you ask Him to keep you away from Satan’s works so you will not be tempted by it. Stay out of the arena of temptation whenever possible, but surely never live in fear or defeat. why should we ask about it? because blessedness (part no. 1) somehow makes us dull our keen sense of dependece on God.

I tell you one more time. you should read it for yourself for it is a blessing for me, and surely for you too.
